Yours is one of last season’s most instagrammed layers of pink bridal velvet (although it hasn’t been the only garment to gain popularity on social networks). I always say so, but even we succumb to that cape and, in general, to the beautiful, classic, delicate and elegant stitching of Dánea Tobajas.
In an era dominated by the prêt-à-porternuptial, and where ateliers for brides felt only as an elitist option, the work of ateliers and dressmakers like Dánea Tobajashave returned the taste for custom sewing and exclusive designs to all brides. Theirbridal gowns drink of the artisan work, the personalized treatment and the bases of the haute couture(-9.), respecting always the personality and style of each woman.
We give life to an idea full of emotion that, many times,
cannot be expressed in words.
– Dánae Tobajas
She has her main atelier in Alcalá street in Madrid, just in front of Retiro Park; but one week a month Dánae Tobajas goes to her native Navarre to attend to her most loyal clients. Brides, mothers, godmothers and guests, order their most special dresses to this young designer who already knows what it is to make their designs become viral in Instagram ; like the three brides – and their dresses – protagonists of this post. Three women with their own styles and personalities, but with a common denominator: Dánae Tobajas.

The sweetness of Alice and her wedding dress with cape of Dánae Tobajas.
A bride who transmits a sweetness with the style of her wedding. Alicia married in February in Avilés (Asturias), so her main choice could not have been more accurate: one short layerup to the waist, also called capelin, made of pink velvet with inner lining in jaccuardof flowers in the tone(-9.). A garment that defines all the lookof Alicia, from the originality when betting for a capelina to be sheltered, up to the touch of color that later is replicated in details as the headdress of flowers in cold porcelain or the same bouquet of fiancée.
The wedding dress is also designed by Dánae Tobajas, who made a very relaxed and classic dressin crepe and silk muslin, with long magas in chiffon a little soft and detail in the cuffs with pink velvet buttons. The back -as the designer has told us- had a light teardrop shape that brought a little freshness, while in the front, at waist height, departed a ‘star’ draped with a central barrel towards the skirt (-9.). A detail that brought elegance and movement to Alicia’s wedding dress.

Patricia’s super lookand her wedding dress with pants by Dánae Tobajas.
Patricia García de Paredes is the bloggerafter ‘Mamá a los 25’ and of this, one of the looksof girlfriend with more roll, stilazo and instagrameadoof this new summer season of weddings. You like it or you don’t like it, but it doesn’t leave you indifferent. We love it, and not only because we like brides who take risks, but also because we admire the brides who dress according to their style and personality . And Patricia has shown to have a personality in abundance with this original set design Dánae Tobajas.
Patricia’s ‘wedding dress’ is really a two-piece ensemble. The first one is the spectacular monkey or jumpsuitfitted with body with boat neckline, long sleeves (with details of gauze petals to the tone)and pants pitilllowith detail of ‘star’, made in silk crepe talc color. And the second garment was the precious adamascada overskirt with satin silk inner flounces and topped with lace and pleated flounces; the classic touch for a look of the most groundbreaking.
Despite the modern styling, Patricia and Danáe knew how to balance this modern woman with personality with the most emblematic bride (and “expected”), thanks to the overskirt and traditional accessories such as the tulle veil (which later changed for an original headdress of blue feathers), and shoes: the now mythical ‘Hangisi’ by Manolo Blahnik in white satin.
The elegance of Patricia and her wedding dress by Dánae Tobajas.
Patricia is all simplicity and elegance. Her wedding dress is based on a classic pattern that fits perfectly to her silhouette (the success of custom sewing!), with simple lines, clean cut with hip ribs, boat neckline and long sleeves. The dress is made of silk crepe in talcum white, totally smooth except for the beautiful flower appliqués and petals that decorate the shoulders – like shoulder pads – and the back. It also has a small strand of lined buttons on the back, a very ‘bride’ detail.
But, without a doubt, the detail that most falls in love with Patricia’s wedding dress is her neckline at the back in the shape of a rhombus . An original opening perfectly results from Dánae Tobajas, that subtly with the sobriety of this lookof bride, but without renouncing the sophistication.
Danáe Tobajas designs bridal gowns based on handcrafted work, personalized treatment, haute couture and exclusive and custom-made sewing.
As you can see, there are three brides each with their own style and personality reflected in the design of their wedding dress. Qualities that have made them one of the most instagrammed brides of this season. You only have to choose one favorite… or fall in love with all of them!
