Inspiration: Moroccan bride.

On this occasion the title is not allegorical, but a literal inspiration of this spectacular styled shoot. A bride of Moroccan inspiration. An adventurous woman connected both to untamed nature and to the unique uniqueness of the city of Marrakech. Which leaves us bride looksfull of strength and femininity, which fuse the savoir faireof Spanish bespoke sewing and the beauty of Moroccan traditions and craftsmanship.

The Galician Minnesota Gardenwedding plannersdevised this editorial session, which for them is always “the opportunity to capture in images an idea that really motivates us, and to tell stories through the combination of a garment, a place, a face or an environment”. And with ‘Moroccan bride’ they have undoubtedly enjoyed working their creativity in “a different landscape, an exciting culture, wild and mysterious, full of magic, smells and new colors” for them. The images of traditional Moroccan and Berber weddings were the first impact and inspirationthat clicked on their minds.

Alejandra Vacuii(-2.), a photographer we did not know but who has captivated us with the personality, sensitivity and creativityof her work (indispensable to gossip her Instagram).

The session began with the first lights of the morning strolling through the streets and shops of an almost deserted Medina that was still resting from the uproar of the previous night. When the city returned to its daily chaos, the Riad Ben Youssef hotel, a centenary building hidden between the streets leading to the Madrasa, was the ideal setting with its jaima and traditional decorative details. And at the next stop they enter the most rural area of the neighboring country, and its most autochthonous culture. A wedding inspirationthat contrasts the hustle and bustle of the picturesque city with the calm and natural life of the desert.

The wedding dresses of the Galician ateliers Sommera and Sara Lage, rich in fabrics and craftsmanship, travelled to Morocco to serve as precious canvases on which they incorporated typical Moroccan jewels and jewelry (-9.).) that, as Minnesota Garden points out, are “pieces carved in precious metals, with innumerable applications and geometric forms that are repeated without stopping” and that catch with their “beauty and peculiarity”.

Without a doubt, one of the complements that contribute more character to these beautiful stylisms are the handcrafted crowns of Verbena Madrid and the headdresses jewels of authentic Berber pieces. A way to find the balance between the ethnic style and the most current trends and shows the perfect union between both cultures.
